Abloom Med Spa is trained to treat hyperhydrosis with Botox! Hyperhydrosis is excessive sweating. If your underarms sweat excessively, call us. Get the help you need! We’ll consult with you and see if Botox is the right treatment to help.
During the procedure, a small amount of BOTOX is injected into the affected underarm area through a very fine needle. In a quick appointment, about 15 injections are made to the underarm area. The actual procedure:
- takes 10 to 15 minutes
- lasts up to 201 days or 6.7 months!
You should notice a significant reduction in underarm sweating within 4 weeks of your first treatment. If you do not see a significant reduction in sweating, call us for a follow-up consultation.
Why Botox for Hyperhydrosis
BOTOX is approved by the FDA to treat the symptoms of severe underarm sweating when topical medicines do not work well enough. The neurotoxin temporarily blocks the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate sweat glands. When the sweat glands don’t receive chemical signals, the severe sweating stops. BOTOX injections are expected to stop the production of excessive sweat in the treated areas only. Sweat will continue to be produced elsewhere.
